Medicaid provides health coverage for more than 70 million people. Some 40 million people stave off hunger by using the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. But the recently passed House budget resolution would cut these programs by $1 TRILLION to pay for extending tax breaks for the wealthy, pouring money into deportation and family separation, and further bloating the Pentagon budget.
