Block Trump’s Trade War for Greenland Takeover

Donald Trump is threatening a trade war that would raise prices for American families — all to fuel a reckless power grab over Greenland.

Trump is escalating his pressure campaign against Denmark and the European Union, floating sweeping tariffs under a bogus “national emergency.” His goal isn’t security or diplomacy. It’s coercion. He’s using economic punishment to strong-arm democratic allies and override the will of Greenland’s people, who have been clear: they are not for sale.

Congress does not have to let this happen. Lawmakers must block funding for these tariffs, rein in abused emergency powers, and force immediate oversight.

A trade war with the EU would weaken U.S. credibility, fracture alliances, and hand strategic advantages to authoritarian rivals watching closely from the sidelines.
