End Trump's NSPM-7 Political Persecution Crusade

Trump's authoritarian NSPM-7 — an overly broad national security memo designed to persecute anyone who disagrees with Trump's agenda — sent the Department of Justice (DOJ) after ICE protesters in Texas.

The DOJ weaponized NSPM-7 to prosecute protesters on trumped up, outlandish charges of "domestic terrorism." 30 and 50 year prison sentences for wearing black outside an ICE detention center and organizing against Trump's far-right mass deportations.

Locking people up for protest and dissent is a clear marker of a dictatorship, and Trump is now targeting even more ICE protestors. Congress must fight back and undo the damage of NSPM-7.

Trump's DOJ charged 15 Minneapolis-area residents for allegedly interfering with ICE agents during the federal invasion of the city earlier this year.

With the draconian Texas prison sentences and Minnesota charges linked to NSPM-7, the White House is setting a dangerous pattern of repression in motion.

Trump and Kash Patel's FBI-led NSPM-7 effort is tasked with proactively identifying "domestic terrorists," vaguely defined as anyone holding "extremist" positions on race, gender or migration, expressing views hostile to "traditional American" families or religion, or showing support for "anti-capitalism."

Freedom of speech and the right to protest are cornerstones of our democracy. Congress must stand up to Trump's regime and protect our fundamental rights.
