Fight the Supreme Court’s Gutting of the Voting Rights Act

This is a crisis for democracy. The radical majority on the Supreme Court just issued a ruling that guts critical protections of the Voting Rights Act. Republicans see this disastrous decision as a green light to suddenly redraw maps to help them hold on to power in Congress. They’re eager to erode minority voting power, essentially drawing representation for Black and brown communities out of existence.

The National Democratic Redistricting Committee is on the front lines of the fight to defeat the Republican power grab. This ruling just made this crisis a lot worse —  we need to double down on our efforts to protect fair maps and ultimately restore the promise of equal representation.
