Data centers are driving up our energy bills. They’re wasting water, wrecking our environment, and destroying our futures. But there’s a movement happening on the ground. Young community leaders are running for office to stop data centers from being built in their cities and towns. This November, Run for Something is helping elect local and state candidates who are fighting against data centers across the country. Nearly 500 cities, towns, and counties have successfully stopped data center construction, and we have a chance to keep the momentum going. The people who can stop data centers are on city councils, state legislatures, school boards, and in mayors’ offices. They’re the same candidates that Run for Something is supporting this Election Day. Add your name if you agree: it’s time to stop data centers.
