Pledge to Give an Hour for Earth

Your health, community, sense of home: nature makes all of it possible. But the natural systems we depend on are under pressure, and they need our help now.

When you give an hour for Earth and log it in the Hour Bank, you become part of a growing movement showing the world that nature matters and that we're ready to protect it.

Dear World Wildlife Fund,

I believe nature is essential to my health, my community, and my future. I believe it is under threat. And I believe that together, we can protect it.

I pledge to give one hour of my time to reconnect with and protect our planet by participating in one of these activities:

Conducting a food waste audit in my kitchen. I’ll track how much food is being thrown away for one week and find creative ways to reduce my waste—like planning meals, storing food properly, or using leftovers for new recipes.
Leading or participating in a nature clean-up. I'll invite family and friends to clean up our local nature spaces like a river, park, beach, wooded area, or stream.
Finding five problem products or practices in my home that can be replaced with more sustainable alternatives to help me reduce my environmental footprint.
Crafting posters for the planet. Painting, collaging, or creating digital art, I’ll spend time translating important conservation messages into visual designs to spread awareness and spark conversations about the urgent need for environmental action.
Watching an environmental documentary, movie, or series that shed light on pressing environmental issues, conservation efforts, and the wonders of nature.
Taking an hour out in nature to intentionally support my mental health. I can find resources and learn more about how nature supports mental health and well-being.
Yes, I would like to get emails and text messages from WWF to learn how I can protect nature through activism, donating, events, and more. I can unsubscribe at any time. By providing my mobile number, I agree to receive recurring text messages from WWF. Text STOP to quit, HELP for info. Message and data rates may apply. See WWF’s Privacy Policy for details.
