America’s national monuments tell the story of who we are – from sacred tribal lands to places that mark our fight for freedom and equality. Right now, that history is under threat. Congress is considering a bill (S.220/H.R.521) that would repeal the Antiquities Act, the law that protects some of our most treasured historic and cultural sites. Repealing this law could lead to national monuments being shrunk or eliminated entirely, putting irreplaceable places at risk. Once these landscapes and stories are gone, they’re gone forever. Tell your members of Congress to oppose S.220/H.R.521 and stand up for our shared history, our national heritage, and the places future generations deserve to experience.
