Protect Medication Abortion Access

Since conservative justices overturned Roe v. Wade nearly two years ago, Republican led states have been finding ways to restrict abortions even more.

A federal judge in Texas recently suspended the FDA's 23-year-old approval of mifepristone, a medication abortion. Now the case is before the United States Supreme Court, where it could disrupt access to medication nationwide, including in states where abortion is legal.

“If allowed to take effect, the lower court's orders would upend the regulatory regime for mifepristone, with sweeping consequences for the pharmaceutical industry, women who need access to the drug, and FDA's ability to implement its statutory authority," Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar said.

The risk of losing medication abortion access nationwide is extremely high. If access to mifepristone is restricted, options for abortions become bleak.

Medication abortion is safe and effective. Access to this is critical, as women across the nation depend on it. Sign the petition today if you agree we need to protect medication abortion access.
