Families walk for days in search of safety. Many arrive at overcrowded camps exhausted and traumatized by the horrors they’ve witnessed, only to find famine and disease waiting for them.

Clean water is so scarce that some families wait hours in line. Survivors of violence arrive needing urgent care. Children arrive having lost everything but the people beside them.

UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is on the ground delivering emergency shelter, clean water, hygiene supplies and protection. But as the needs soar, funding shortages are forcing staff to make impossible choices about who receives help.
