Stop Trump’s Visa Freeze

Trump wants to separate families. We can’t let him. The Trump administration has announced plans to suspend all immigrant visa processing for 75 countries, including 14 Asian and Pacific Islander countries.

They say it’s a crackdown on immigrants who might use public assistance, but their argument doesn’t hold water. Visa applicants already go through extensive vetting. All this will do is keep tens of thousands of non-white and working-class immigrants from reuniting with their loved ones in the United States.

For AAPI communities, the implications of Trump's visa processing freeze are profound. If passed in 2025, it would have shut 96,000+ Asian and Pacific Islander immigrants out of the United States. Following his decision to freeze all asylum cases and suspend citizenship and green card applications for 39 countries, this sends a dangerous message about who belongs in America.

Our communities deserve an immigration system rooted in dignity, justice, and belonging — not one that divides families and deepens racial injustice. Sign this petition to keep immigrant families together and end Trump’s visa processing freeze.
