The House just voted to topple public land management plans in Alaska, Montana, and North Dakota using a radical legislative tool called the Congressional Review Act. It’s a reckless move that threatens to destabilize how public lands are managed across the country. Resource Management Plans are developed by experts at the Department of the Interior with input from local tribes, communities and land-use experts. They guide responsible and sustainable use of public lands and conservation of beloved recreation areas, critical wildlife, clean water sources and more. Rescinding these plans means overturning local guidance so politicians in Washington, DC, can call the shots instead. It sets a dangerous precedent that could throw land management into chaos. We must act now to stop this attack. Sign The Wilderness Society Action Fund’s petition today to tell Congress: Stop interfering in public lands management!
