Tell Congress: Don’t Make Donald Trump a King

The Trump administration is openly defying court orders. And now, House Republicans are trying to strip the judiciary of its power to stop him.

Last month, federal agents illegally deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a Maryland father with legal U.S. status, to a notorious prison in El Salvador. Despite a court order barring his removal, the Trump administration admitted the deportation was an "administrative error" but has refused to comply with judicial orders to bring him back. Even after the Supreme Court unanimously ruled that the government must "facilitate" his return, the Department of Justice continues to stall and obstruct.

Rather than uphold the rule of law, House Republicans passed the "No Rogue Rulings Act," a bill that would prevent federal judges from issuing nationwide injunctions—tools often used to block unlawful executive actions. This legislation is a direct response to courts halting Trump's overreaches, including mass deportations and attacks on civil rights. By limiting judicial oversight, Congress is effectively granting Trump unchecked power.

This is a dangerous erosion of our constitutional checks and balances. The judiciary exists to ensure that no president can act above the law. If Congress succeeds in undermining this branch, it sets a precedent for authoritarian rule.

We must act now to protect our democracy. Tell Congress to reject any legislation that weakens judicial authority and to hold the Trump administration accountable for its unlawful actions.

Join us in demanding Congress uphold the separation of powers and stop the rise of authoritarianism in America, before it’s too late.
