Tell Congress: Impeach Pete Hegseth

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth keeps putting American lives at risk, and he must be held accountable.

Trump’s Pentagon Chief, Pete Hegseth, shared sensitive military details about U.S. airstrikes in Yemen in a Signal chat where he accidentally included a member of the press. And now, he’s been exposed for leaking similar secrets in a second chat with family members. These reckless leaks compromise national security and endangered the lives of American service members.

These leaks are a clear violation of American trust. As Rep. Don Bacon, a Republican and former Air Force brigadier general, put it, “it’s totally unacceptable.” Bacon went on to call Hegseth, “an amateur person.” It’s rare to see bipartisan agreement in Washington, but when it comes to safeguarding classified information, the stakes are too high for politics as usual.

Sign the petition calling on Congress to launch immediate impeachment proceedings targeting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The damage Hegseth has caused cannot be overstated. One of his own former top aides recently wrote an entire op-ed describing “total chaos” at the Pentagon. His actions have undermined military operations, compromised diplomatic efforts, and thrown national security planning into disarray.

And this isn’t the first time his character has come into question. Hegseth has a documented history of abusive behavior toward women and ties to far-right extremists, including White nationalist circles.

Pete Hegseth is more than unfit for office. He is a danger to our democracy, our military, and our values. His presence in the Pentagon sends a dangerous message that leaking secrets and sowing chaos are acceptable under Trump’s administration.

We must demand accountability. Our national security cannot be entrusted to someone who treats classified information like gossip in a group chat. We need leaders who protect the American people, not endanger them.
