Tell Congress: Investigate the Raid on Ilhan Omar's House

Federal agents just searched Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home.

The search was carried out by Homeland Security Investigations, an agency under DHS, with a warrant secured by the Department of Justice. But the public still has not been told what justified this extraordinary action against one of Trump’s most visible critics.

That silence is especially alarming because Omar has long been targeted by Trump and his allies with racist, anti-Muslim, and anti-immigrant attacks. When federal agents raid the home of a sitting member of Congress after months of political threats and smears, the American people deserve answers.

Tell Congress: "Investigate the DOJ and DHS search of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home. Determine whether federal law enforcement was weaponized against a political opponent, and hold any officials responsible accountable."

No one is above the law. But law enforcement cannot be used as a political weapon. If the Trump administration is using criminal investigations to intimidate critics, punish dissent, or target Muslim and immigrant communities, that is a direct threat to democracy.

Congress has the power to get the truth. Lawmakers can demand documents, subpoena communications between DOJ, DHS, and the White House, question senior officials under oath, and expose whether this search was driven by evidence — or by politics.

Add your name now and demand Congress launch an immediate investigation into the DOJ’s raid on Ilhan Omar.

The petition to Congress reads:

"Launch an immediate investigation into the DOJ and DHS search of Rep. Ilhan Omar’s home. Subpoena communications between the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, and the White House. Determine whether federal law enforcement was weaponized against a political opponent, and hold any officials responsible accountable."
