Tell Congress: Prioritize Infrastructure Improvements

U.S. infrastructure has faced challenges in recent years. Train derailments, highway and bridge collapse, and dam failures are being seen all across the country.

The collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge and the Fern Hollow Bridge in Pittsburgh are examples of unmaintained aging bridges.

While Pres. Biden’s bipartisan infrastructure bill made major investments in rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, it’s clear that additional investments are needed.

Sign the petition urging Congress to prioritize infrastructure improvements.

“There are cautionary tales all over,” said Maria Lehman, president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and vice chair of the Biden administration’s National Infrastructure Advisory Council. “Every county in the country as a list of bridges that, if they had the money, they would replace tomorrow.”

Currently, the US only spends 1.5 to 2.5 percent of its GDP on infrastructure. We can and must do better.
