Tell Congress: Restore Food Aid for Millions of Families

Donald Trump is taking food off families’ tables — and bragging about it.

In his State of the Union, Trump claimed millions were “lifted” off food assistance. But many of the 2.4 million people he mentioned weren’t rescued from poverty — they were cut off by harsher rules and red tape. Now Trump is pushing deeper cuts and stricter work requirements that could strip food aid from even more struggling families.

Forty-two million people nationwide rely on SNAP to afford groceries. Children. Seniors. Veterans. Working parents whose wages haven’t kept up with rising prices. Trump’s continued attacks could mean even more cutbacks for families already on the edge. And Congress must stop him.
