Tell Congress To Protect SNAP

13 million kids across the nation are going hungry – a 45% increase from 2021. This crisis is most devastating in rural America, where 84% of counties with the highest rates of food insecurity are located.

Hunger is devastating for growing minds and bodies. A recent report found that in 2022, 381,000 households with children were forced to skip meals or not eat for an entire day.

That’s why the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is so critical. 41.2 million people in the U.S. rely on these lifesaving benefits to afford food – and 36% of recipients are children.

But at current levels, research shows that many households run out of benefits before the month is over. That means millions of kids aren’t getting the consistent nutrition they need to thrive.

To prevent more children from going hungry and suffering delayed development, we must protect SNAP in the next Farm Bill. Its impact is undeniable – every dollar increase in SNAP benefits generates up to $1.80 in economic activity, improving output and employment rates in rural America.

Thank you for ensuring every child has a bright future by protecting SNAP in the next Farm Bill!
