The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps about 42 million of our neighbors facing hunger buy groceries to keep nutritious meals on the table. Recent cuts to the program could take an estimated 6 billion meals off the tables of program participants every year, while food insecurity rates are already the highest they’ve been in nearly a decade. Urgent Congress to strengthen federal nutrition programs like The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP), the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) to help ensure our neighbors can continue to access the resources we all need to thrive.
