Tell the FDA: Don’t End Routine Food Safety Inspections

For some inexplicable reason, the Trump administration is ending FDA routine food safety inspections at factories and plants across the country, leaving the responsibility to the states and local authorities to make sure that food production facilities are properly cared for and that bacterial outbreaks are contained.  

There is no good reason one could possibly come up with to justify this, other than to deliberately gut every possible regulation in order to allow companies to cheap out on cleanliness and funnel even more profits up to the wealthy — at the expense of public health. Tell the FDA: don’t end routine food safety inspections!
