The U.S. Department of State has confirmed plans to destroy $9.7 million worth of contraceptives at taxpayer expense, rather than distribute or sell them. This isn't just a bureaucratic failure—it's a preventable humanitarian crisis. Around the world, women and girls rely on access to contraception to plan their futures, protect their health, and save their lives.

That's why we're urging Congress to pass the Saving Lives and Taxpayer Dollars Act (S.2252), legislation that would prevent the needless destruction and waste of lifesaving foreign assistance commodities.
