Tell your senators: Defend 45 million acres of wild forest

The U.S. Forest Service has announced a plan to open up 45 million acres of wild national forests by rescinding the policy known as the Roadless Rule. Without the protections the rule provides, 45 million acres of forests that currently provide recreation, wildlife habitat and clean water would be open to new roads, commercial logging, mining and drilling.

The Roadless Area Conservation Act (S.2042) would codify the 2001 Roadless Area Conservation Act and end the Forest Service's misguided efforts to open our wild forests up for new roads, logging and mining.

Please act to protect our wild forests by signing on to co-sponsor S. 2042.
