Urge House Members: Vote on My Body, My Data Act

Now that the Supreme Court has overturned 50 years of precedent, women and people who can get pregnant are at risk across the country. States where abortion is now illegal want to use location data to criminalize abortion seekers. No matter what the Supreme Court says, we have a right to our personal privacy, including our location and health data. Will you join us in urging the House to vote to protect health data privacy?

As fears that Roe v. Wade would be overturned grew, Rep. Sara Jacobs (CA-53) introduced the My Body, My Data Act.

This legislation would restrict businesses and non-governmental organizations from collecting, using, retaining, or disclosing reproductive health information that’s non-essential to their operations. That would include businesses like period tracking apps, which many are concerned about following the reversal of Roe v. Wade.

Now Congress must act to protect people seeking abortions!

This bill is supported by Planned Parenthood, NARAL Pro-Choice America, National Abortion Federation, URGE, National Partnership for Women & Families, and Feminist Majority. Show the House that you support this bill! Will you add your name to a list of supporters today?
